Introduction
This is a list of check points to test the main interface of OpenLP.
Prerequisites
- Confirm that OpenLP opens and displays the basic components
- *See the Basics Test page for the initial setup test.
- In the Main Window, make sure the Minimize, Restore, and Close buttons work.
Appearance
The following should be present:
Function
- Save button:
- a) Using a plugin(s) from the Media Manager, add some items to the order of service
- b) click the Save button (from the File menu) / press Ctrl+S
- c) A file browser should appear, then name and save the service
- d) make some changes to the service and click Save / press Ctrl+S
- e) the service should save
- Save As button:
- a) with a saved order of service open, click the Save As button / press F12
- b) a file browser should open, allowing you to save the order of service as the same or a different file
- New button:
- a) with the previously saved service open, click the New button / press Ctrl+N
- b) all items in the Service Manager should disappear
- Open button:
- a) Click the Open button / press Ctrl+O
- b) a file manager should load, then open a saved service
- c) check the Service Manager for the saved items
- Import button:
- Still under development
- Export button:

- Exit button:
- a) click the Exit button / press Alt+F4
- b) OpenLP should close
- Language > sub-menu
- Still under development
- View > sub-menu
- a) Click the Media Manager button / press F8 to make the media manager hidden or visible
- b) Click the Service Manager button / press F9 to make the service manager hidden or visible
- c) Click the Theme Manager button / press F10 to make the theme manager hidden or visible
- d) Click the Preview Pane check box / press F11 to make the preview pane hidden or visible
- Settings button

- Alert button

- Plugin List button
- a) Click the Plugin List button / press Alt+F7
- b) The Plugin List window should open
- A left panel should display a list of plugins
- A Status: drop-down list should have Active and Inactive options
- The About: window should show information about the selected plugin.
- c) select plugins and toggle between Active/Inactive status
- The plugins should appear and disappear accordingly in the Media Manager
- Check that the following plugins are visible in the Media Manager when set Active:
- Songs
- Bibles
- Presentations
- Images
- Media
- Custom
- Add Tool... button

- About button
- a) Click the About button / press Ctrl+F1
- b) The About OpenLP window should open and include the following:
- About tab
- displays basic information about OpenLP
- Credits tab
- lists the Project Leader, Developers, and Testers
- License tab
- displays the copyright and license information
- Contribute button
- When clicked, your default web browser should open and navigate to OpenLP.org's Contributing page
- Close button
- About tab
- c) Click the Close button to close the About OpenLP window
Close and Pop-out buttons
- Click the Close buttons on the managers to hide them (turn them back on through the Options > View > menu or with the keyboard shortcuts)
- Click the Pop-out buttons on the managers to separate/join them from the Main Window
