Development:EasiSlides Importer comments

From OpenLP

Jump to: navigation, search

Here are the notes on how Easislides import does work in OpenLP. At least how it used to work. Or maybe the opposite, what does not work or at least is not used right now.

Contents

Unused fields in Easislides export

<Category>

This could be used as topics, but Easislides seems to be unable to use this field, there has been no example of it's usage, therefore not used.

<Folder>

Usually only one or few folders are used in Easislides and these contain no actual data, easislides default database is named English, but users may not follow their example. Not used.

<Notations>

<Timing>

This field may be either 3/4 or 4/4. OpenLP database has no place for such data. Although it could be added to comments.

<MusicKey>

May be something like Db, C, G, F#, F#m. Not used.

<Capo>

It is a number from 0 to 11, determing where to place a capo on guitar neck. Not used.

<UserReference>

This is simple text entry, I have seen one use of this as "searchable field" or similar. Not used.

<FormatData>

This field for sure is a messy thing, see an example: 21=1>23=0>22=2>25=2>26=-16777216>27=-16777216>28=11>29=-1>30=-256>31=2>32=2> 41=16>42=16>43=Microsoft Sans Serif>44=Microsoft Sans Serif>45=0>46=45>47=20>48=40> 50=0>51=>52=50>53=-1>54=0>55=1>61=>62=2>63=1>64=2>65=2>66=0>71=0>72=Fade>73=Fade>

<Settings>

Is also nonsense for us, an example: 10=2;5;0;0;1;0;ยป126;232;>
